Pune: Man Detained In Lonavala For Giving False Information About Assassination Of CM Shinde
Lonavala, 3rd October 2022: A person who gave false information to the Police Control Room about the assassination of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was detained from Lonavala.
The detained individual was identified as Avinash Appa Waghmare (36), resident Matoshri Ramabai Ambedkarnagar, Sathe Chal, Ghatkopar, Mumbai.
Waghmare arrived at a hotel in Lonavala on Sunday (2nd October) afternoon. He drank alcohol in the hotel.
He got into an argument with the manager and workers at the hotel for overcharging a higher price for bottled water. He also contacted the police control room under the influence of alcohol. Waghmare informed the control room that a conspiracy was being hatched to kill Chief Minister Eknath Shinde by telling the name of Hatel. Waghmare was detained by a police team.
Assistant Police Inspector Sandesh Bawkar investigated the matter and released him on understanding.
