Pune: For Not Producing Baby, Husband And Mother-In-Law Called In Tantrik
Pune, 5th October 2022: A woman was harrased for not producing a baby boy her husband and mother-in-law. They hired a black magic practitioner regarding the same.
The 33-year-old woman was so worn out that she complained to the police at Wadgaon Maval and told her parents about her problems. Her spouse, 36, was detained by police, and her 55-year-old mother-in-law was lodged in a jail cell for violating the anti-superstition law.
After their marriage, the victim’s husband and mother-in-law began tormenting her physically and mentally. At the wedding, the groom sought a fancy car as dowry. Later, he made her consume a lemon that had been specifically given to her by the tantrik because she was unable to conceive.
According to the police, the victim and the accused were married a few years ago. Her husband along with his mother started abusing her because she was unable to have children. The complainant insisted on a medical examination to determine the cause of her infertility. Both of the accused, nevertheless, disregarded her advice.
The tantrik was called, and they forced him to begin using black magic. The complainant called her parents and told them about her experience. Her father attempted to stop the accused and warned him against engaging in such cruel actions.
According to the complainant, “My parents come from a middle-class family. They had disclosed to my husband and mother-in-law their precarious financial situation. They were unable to pay for a car as dowry. As soon as my father was unable to present the car, my husband and mother-in-law began torturing me. They also accused me of not having children. I frequently advised my husband to get a checkup from the doctor. They declined my suggestion, though.”
“My husband brought the tantrik home, who began visiting us and used black magic on me. He also made me eat a lemon covered in kumkum and turmeric. My spouse attacked me and withheld food from me when I refused to consume the lemon. The tantrik advised my spouse to engage in unnatural sexual activity, but I refused.”
Investigating police inspector Vilas Bhosale stated, “We have detained the victim’s husband and have begun looking for the tantrik. According to the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, has a case filed against it.”
