Car Overtaking Gone Wrong: Stabbing Leaves Youth Dead, Friend Hospitalized In Pune
Chakan, 28th November 2023: A road rage incident took place on Sunday in Mahalunge as a 31-year-old youth, identified as Ritesh Pawar, lost his life in a brutal attack involving a koyta (sickle).
The assailants, six men in total, targeted Pawar and seriously wounded his friend, Sandesh Bhosale (21), following a dispute over overtaking their vehicle.
The incident occurred after a heated argument between Pawar and Shambhu Bhosle, one of the accused, erupted when Pawar overtook Bhosle’s car suddenly. The altercation escalated rapidly, leading Bhosle and his accomplices, identified as Abhi Javale, Vaibhav Andhale, Vinod Butalwar, Shekhar Natak, and Chhota Saket, to physically assault Pawar.
Attempting to escape the onslaught, Pawar sought refuge in a nearby shop. Unfortunately, the assailants pursued him, wielding wooden sticks to continue their assault. The situation took a gruesome turn when they stabbed him multiple times with a koyta. Sandesh Bhosale, attempting to intervene, was also brutally attacked and left seriously wounded.
Ritesh Pawar succumbed to his injuries, while Sandesh Bhosale was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The Mahalunge MIDC police have registered a case based on Bhosale’s statement, initiating a search for the absconding assailants—Shambhu Bhosle, Abhi Javale, Vaibhav Andhale, Vinod Butalwar, Shekhar Natak, and Chhota Saket.
