Pune: Fed Up with Demands for Alcohol by Wife and Sister-In-Law, Man Dies by Suicide
Pimpri, 23rd January 2024: A 35-year-old man allegedly took his own life after facing harassment from his wife and sister-in-law who demanded money for alcohol. The deceased’s brother filed a complaint at Dehu Road Police Station (Pimpri Chinchwad Police), leading to the arrest of Narayan’s wife and sister-in-law.
The deceased Narayan Madhukar Nirval from Pimpri, engaged in the animation business, found himself in a dire situation as his wife and sister-in-law persistently demanded money for their alcohol consumption. The mental anguish caused by their behavior became unbearable for Narayan. His brother, Dnyaneshwar Madhukar Nirmal, received a message from Narayan expressing his suffering due to the constant demands and troubles caused by his wife and sister-in-law.
Driven to despair by the unrelenting troubles, Narayan reportedly consumed poison at his residence on Wednesday (17th January). He was rushed to YCM Hospital of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation for treatment. However, he died during treatment.
Police have arrested both the two women accused of harassment that led to Narayan’s decision to take his own life.
