“Woh Bhi Din The”: Delayed Dream Project Finally Streams on Jio5
Pune, March 29,2024: A film titled “Woh Bhi Din The” has finally been released on the OTT platform Jio5 after facing an 11-year delay. The coming-of-age story, directed by Sajid Ali (“Laila Majnu”), was initially shot in 2013 but couldn’t secure a theatrical release.
Produced by Imtiaz Ali, John Abraham, and Sujeet Sarkar, the film stars then-newcomers Rohit Saraf, Adarsh Gourav, and Sanjana Sanghi. Though details about the plot remain unknown, it was reportedly touted as a fresh and heartwarming story.
The film, initially titled “Banana,” was finally streamed on Jio5 on March 29, 2024. The reasons for the extended delay haven’t been publicly disclosed.
Lead actress Sanjana Sanghi recently shared memories from filming the movie on social media. She revealed she was balancing her 12th-grade board exams with the demanding 12-hour shooting schedule. Despite the challenges, Sanghi considers it a valuable experience, forging lifelong friendships and learning life lessons. She expressed gratitude to her parents, school principal, and director Sajid Ali for allowing her to pursue this project.
Sanghi concluded by expressing immense pride in director Sajid Ali for finally bringing their “childhood dreams” to life alongside Imtiaz Ali and Arijit Ali. She thanked him for giving them the opportunity to share this special project, a “box of memories,” at the age of 16.
