New Rural Web Series Steals Hearts With Desi Flavour On OTT
Mumbai, 12th May 2025: Following the huge success of Panchayat, rural-focussed stories are on the rise among OTT audiences and makers as well. Fueling the trend, a new web series called Gram Chikitsalay was launched on 9th May 2025 and is drawing blinding love from viewers. Streaming on a top OTT platform, the series is being applauded for its untamed rural taste and has gained a high IMDb rating, reflecting over-whelming audience approval.
Based in the hypothetical village of Bhatkandi, the story is about the village quack Chetak Kumar, whom everyone in the village trusts with any medical problem. The story develops when a well-qualified doctor, Prabhat Sinha, is duly posted to the village.
The experience of having to deal with the disorganized healthcare system as well as people’s blind belief in Chetak results in situations that are at times hilarious as well as emotive.
