Maharashtra: Narrow Escape for Pregnant Woman and Family as Ambulance Engine Catches Fire, Oxygen Cylinder Explodes
Jalgaon, 14th November 2024: A pregnant woman and her family narrowly escaped a catastrophic situation on Wednesday evening in Jalgaon district when the engine of their ambulance caught fire, leading to a terrifying explosion of an oxygen cylinder.
The incident occurred on a flyover along the National Highway in the Dada Wadi area while the ambulance was transporting the woman from Erandol Government Hospital to Jalgaon District Hospital. The vehicle unexpectedly caught fire, and shortly afterward, an oxygen cylinder inside the ambulance exploded.
A video of the incident, now viral on social media, shows the ambulance engulfed in flames just before the oxygen cylinder explodes, creating a massive fireball and sending sparks into the air.

The driver reportedly noticed smoke coming from the engine and immediately evacuated the pregnant woman and her family. Moments after they were safely out of the vehicle, the ambulance’s engine caught fire, followed by the explosive blast of the oxygen cylinder.
