Pune: Akhil Bharatiya OBC Seva Sangh Backs BJP’s Shankar Jagtap for Chinchwad Assembly Seat
Pimpri Chinchwad, 14th November 2024: The Akhil Bharatiya OBC Seva Sangh has officially announced its support for Shankar Jagtap, the Mahayuti (BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP-RPI(Athawale) alliance) candidate for the Chinchwad Assembly constituency. Hanumant Sutar, the Union’s President, handed over a formal letter of endorsement to Jagtap, affirming confidence in his candidacy and expressing optimism about his victory in the upcoming election.
The Akhil Bharatiya OBC Seva Sangh, representing one of Maharashtra’s largest social groups, which accounts for about 52% of the state’s population, includes multiple divisions such as the Employee, Student, Women, and Farmer Fronts, along with the All-India Gor Banjara Society. With this endorsement, the union has called on all OBC members in the Chinchwad constituency to unite in support of Jagtap, encouraging them to vote for him under the “Lotus” symbol of the BJP.
During the announcement, several key leaders were present, including Hanumant Sutar, founding president Nana Sahab Tengale, publicity head Kadambari Vedpathak, Pune District Women’s President Shobha Zhingade, Pune City President Nilesh Dhahale, BJP Mandal Vice President Lalit Mhasekar, and Swapnil Navade, along with other important representatives and supporters.
Expressing his gratitude, Shankar Jagtap said, “I am sincerely thankful to Hanumant Sutar and all the members of the Akhil Bharatiya OBC Seva Sangh for their overwhelming support. This endorsement gives us further strength in this electoral contest. The Mahayuti government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is dedicated to the upliftment of the OBC community, and I am committed to continuing this work in Pimpri Chinchwad and Chinchwad. I will make it my priority to address the community’s issues and contribute to their progress.”
