Pune: Special Campaign Launched for Caste Certificate Verification of 12th Science Students
Pune, 9th January 2025: A special campaign is being conducted for the verification of caste certificates of backward class students studying in the science stream of 12th Class in the academic year 2024-25 who have not yet applied for caste certificate verification. Students have been urged to apply for this verification.
Students belonging to Scheduled Castes, De-notified Tribes, Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Special Backward Classes, and Educationally and Socially Backward Classes (including Maratha) are required to submit a caste validity certificate after verifying their caste certificate. This is necessary to gain admission to reserved seats in professional courses such as medicine, engineering, architecture, pharmacy, and agriculture, as well as to take advantage of the state government’s education fee and examination fee reimbursement schemes.
The deadline for submitting the caste certificate verification application was 31st December 2024. However, many students in the Pune District have not yet submitted their applications to the Pune District Caste Verification Committee office. A special campaign is being implemented for such students as part of the 100-day target program announced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Students who have not yet submitted their applications for caste certificate verification should fill out an online application on the website https://www.barti.in/ and submit a printed copy to the District Caste Certificate Verification Committee office. Sanjay Dane, Deputy Commissioner and member of the District Caste Certificate Verification Committee, has appealed to students to complete this process.
