Pune: Huge Fire Broke Out In Mhalunge; Blaze Engulfs 18 Laborres’ Homes; No Casualties Reported
Mhalunge, 18th February 2025: A massive fire broke out around 10.30 am in Nanachi Chawl No. 4 and 5, engulfing 18 out of 20 tin-shed homes (10×10) of laborers. While household belongings were destroyed in the blaze, no injuries have been reported.
In response, five fire engines from Aundh Fire Station, PMRDA Fire Station, and MIDC Fire Station were dispatched to the area. The firefighters swiftly initiated water spraying from all four directions, successfully controlling the fire within approximately 30 minutes. The cooling operation continued to prevent further spread.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities reported. However, household items including mattresses, clothes, chairs, wardrobes, furniture, and electrical wiring were destroyed in the fire. Further investigation is currently underway.
