Baby John’s OTT Release
Mumbai, 19th February 2025: Baby John, the Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh starring film, was released in theatres on Christmas Eve last year. Producer Atlee’s movie did not show anything special at the box office in fact, it couldn’t even meet the budget. Now, the makers of this movie have released it on OTT.
The OTT release was announced by the makers late on Tuesday night. The movie will now be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. On February 18, a special video of Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Keerthy Suresh was shared by Amazon Prime Video on its official Instagram handle regarding the OTT release of Baby John.
A film by Director Kalish and producer Atlee was speculated to perform well with a banger at the box office, but in terms of earning this, Varun Dhawan starrer failed. The net box office collection made a total business of 36 crore, and the worldwide collection of the film was around 56 crore. This movie is a Hindi remake of South Superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s superhit film Tehri. After Shah Rukh Khan’s mega-blockbuster film Jawan, Atlee played a bet on Varun Dhawan about Baby John. Fans, too, had high expectations, but the film failed miserably at the box office.
It’s majorly seen that films doing well at the box office are released on OTT within 40-50 days, but for flop films, this time limit is reduced. In Baby John’s case, the audience had to wait for almost two months after the Christmas Eve release on 25th December till today, even after Baby John was a box office failure.
Amazon Prime, on a post with Varun Dhawan, captioned the movie, releasing a video on Prime Videos, captioning, “We can listen to this hazaar baar #BabyJohnOnPrime, Watch Now.”
