Hadapsar, 16th June 2025: A major breakthrough has been achieved by Kale Padal Police Station, as Javed Nabi, a notorious fraudster, has been arrested for blackmailing a woman using morphed photographs and obscene content, with the intent to extort money and sexually exploit her.

The accused is alleged to have repeatedly harassed the victim, threatening to make private and doctored visuals viral on social media platforms if his illegal demands for money and sexual favors were not met. It has also been reported that he attempted to throw acid on the complainant — a grave and heinous act reflecting the severity of his criminal mindset.

Moreover, it has come to light that the accused’s wife has actively supported and shielded him in his illegal activities. This is not an isolated incident. The accused has allegedly harassed multiple women in the past. He is habitual in engaging in obscene behavior with women. It has been revealed that he similarly harassed a female tenant residing at Raheja Garden, Phase 3, and committed similar acts in Archana Paradise Society. In many such incidents, his wife allegedly accompanied him and threatened the victims, attempting to suppress their complaints and cover up his criminal behavior.

Senior Police Inspector Mansingh Patil of Kale Padal Police Station stated:
“Women should not fall prey to such fraudsters and blackmailers. They are encouraged to consider the police as their brothers and protectors, and to come forward without fear. The identity of complainants will be protected, and strict legal action will be taken against the perpetrators.”

PSI Anilraje Nimbalkar, who is currently investigating the matter further, also urged:
“Women must not remain silent in the face of harassment and should report such crimes without hesitation.”

The father of the victim, a retired Indian Army officer, has demanded the strictest possible charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Acid Attack Laws, and Cyber Crime Provisions, stating:
“No woman should have to suffer in silence again. Let this be an example to all predators who think they can escape justice.”
