Pune: Important Advisory Issued for Mulshi Dam as Water Release Set to Increase
Mulshi, 7th July 2025: Authorities at Mulshi Dam have announced that the dam is currently filled to 76.67% of its capacity, with ongoing rainfall in the region. In response to rising water levels, the discharge from the Mulshi Dam spillway into the Mula River will be increased from 5,800 cusecs to 8,200 cusecs at 3:00 PM today. Officials have stated that if rainfall continues or intensifies, and if the inflow increases, the amount of water released may be adjusted accordingly.
Residents and the general public are strongly urged not to enter the riverbed. Those with belongings or livestock in the river area are advised to relocate them immediately. Authorities have requested that citizens in low-lying areas be informed about the situation and that everyone exercise appropriate caution and vigilance.
