Hinjawadi, 8th July 2025: A crucial high-level meeting to address the long-standing infrastructure and traffic issues plaguing the globally renowned Hinjawadi IT Park will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 2 PM at the Cabinet Hall, Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai. The meeting, called under the directives of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, will bring together senior government officials, representatives of the IT Forum, Society Federation, voluntary organizations, and key stakeholders from various departments.
The meeting comes in response to persistent demands from citizens and local representatives for a coordinated and actionable plan to resolve challenges faced by nearly 5 lakh IT professionals who commute daily to and from Hinjawadi — one of India’s largest tech hubs situated near Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge, who has been at the forefront of raising concerns related to the IT Park, confirmed the development in a tweet on Monday. “We had requested that a comprehensive meeting be held in the presence of the Chief Minister to chalk out concrete solutions. We are confident this will mark a turning point for Hinjawadi’s development,” Landge said.
Key concerns on the agenda include severe traffic congestion, lack of public transport options, and uncoordinated infrastructure development due to overlapping jurisdictions of departments like MIDC, Zilla Parishad, PMRDA, PCMC, and NHAI.
Landge further shared that the Chief Minister has responded positively to the long-pending demand of merging Hinjawadi IT Park and surrounding villages—Hinjawadi, Maan, Marunji, Nere, Jambhe, Sangawade, and Gahunje—into the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limits.

“This move will not only benefit IT professionals but also ensure sustainable development for the local villages. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, we believe the area will finally receive the infrastructure it deserves,” said Landge.
With Hinjawadi IT Park playing a vital role in Maharashtra’s digital economy and employment landscape, the outcome of Thursday’s meeting could have far-reaching implications for urban planning, public infrastructure, and economic growth in Pune’s tech corridor.
