Tempo Driver Killed in Accident on Old Mumbai-Pune Highway near Lonavala
Kamshet, 18th July 2025: A fatal road accident occurred on the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway near Kamshet in Maval Taluka, Pune District, resulting in the death of a tempo driver. The incident took place on Friday, and a case of accidental death has been registered at the Kamshet Police Station.
The deceased has been identified as Rushikesh Buge (27), a resident of Ahilyanagar.
According to preliminary information, Buge lost control of the tempo while driving on a slope near Kamshet. The vehicle collided with a divider, veered into the opposite lane, and overturned.
Buge sustained severe injuries to his head, chest, hands, and legs, leading to his death on the spot. Assistant Police Inspector Powar is conducting further investigation into the incident.
