Pune: Traffic Police Hold Safety Awareness Event for Students at Hinjawadi Zilla Parishad School
Hinjawadi, 18th July 2025: On Thursday, officers from the Hinjawadi Traffic Division visited the Zilla Parishad Primary School in Hinjawadi as part of the “One Day for School” initiative, following orders from senior authorities. Police Inspector Rahul Sonawane, the in-charge officer, led a traffic police team to educate students about essential traffic rules, regulations, and road signage.
During the event, the officers used a PowerPoint presentation and videos to illustrate the importance of traffic laws. In addition to traffic safety, the session covered key topics such as the POSCO Act, the concepts of good touch and bad touch, cybercrimes and cyber safety, the dangers of drug use, and when to use the emergency helpline Dial 112.
The event was attended by Principal Yele, other teachers, and approximately 100 to 150 students. The comprehensive program aimed to enhance students’ understanding of personal safety, legal awareness, and responsible behavior in both physical and digital environments.
