Lonavala, 24th July 2025: In a key ruling related to a ₹1.68 crore financial fraud case, the Bombay High Court has cancelled the bail granted to Gajanan Dattatray Gore, a coaching institute operator from Talegaon Dabhade in Pune district’s Maval region. The order, issued on July 1, 2025, came after a petition filed by Navnath Deshmukh, founder of the “I Can Training Institute” and the complainant in the case.

Gore was arrested in August 2023 for allegedly misappropriating funds during his association with the institute. After spending nearly eight months in judicial custody, he was granted conditional bail by the High Court in April 2025. The terms required Gore to deposit ₹25 lakh within five months and to cease using the institute’s name for any purpose.

Despite the court’s clear directives, Gore allegedly violated the bail terms. Even ten months post-bail, he failed to deposit any funds. Additionally, he continued using the institute’s identity and ran Sainik School coaching classes under the same name in Talegaon Dabhade — misleading parents and engaging in further fraudulent activity.

In light of these violations, complainant Navnath Deshmukh approached the High Court again, requesting bail cancellation. Represented by Advocates Ganesh Gole and Atit Shirodkar, it was argued that Gore had deceived the judiciary and blatantly defied its conditions. The Court took a stern view of the matter and revoked his bail, directing him to surrender at Satara Jail within the stipulated period.

The case has once again highlighted rising concerns over financial misconduct in the private education and coaching sector, particularly among institutions claiming to prepare students for elite military and academic careers.
