Pune: New Bus Route Launched from Wagholi to Hinjawadi Phase 3; Smart AC Eco-Friendly E-Buses Introduced

Wagholi, 25th July 2025: Aiming to boost eco-friendly and direct public transport connectivity between Pune’s eastern suburbs and the IT hub, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) today launched Bus Route No. 328, connecting Wagholi to Hinjawadi Mann Phase 3.

The inauguration ceremony, held this morning, was conducted by Vadgaon Sheri MLA Bapusaheb Pathare, who officially flagged off the service.

As part of this new initiative, four smart, air-conditioned, eco-friendly electric buses will operate on this route with a frequency of one bus per hour, offering commuters a fast, convenient, and sustainable travel option. The route is expected to significantly benefit residents from suburban areas like Wagholi by providing them direct access to the Hinjawadi IT Park, one of Pune’s busiest employment zones.

The event witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Pune Municipal Corporation corporators Sandeep Satav, Shantaram Katke, and Pandharinath Katke, as well as PMPML’s Joint Managing Director Nitin Narvekar and CEO Asha Raut. Several PMPML officials and local residents were also in attendance.

Wagholi – Diamond Water Park – Lohegaon – Dhanori Gaon – Vishrantwadi – Dighi – Bhosari – Shivar Chowk – Mankar Chowk – Infosys Phase 1 & 2 – Hinjawadi Mann Phase 3

This direct connectivity is expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters, especially IT employees, while also supporting the city’s green mobility goals.
