Pune: Ambulance Stuck for Over 15 Minutes in Rakshak Chowk Chaos; Citizens Blame PCMC, Traffic Police
Pimple Nilakh, 26th July 2025: An ambulance with its siren blaring was stuck in heavy traffic for over 15 minutes at Rakshak Chowk on Saturday, triggering public outrage over poor traffic planning.
Ongoing subway construction work in Pimple Nilakh, near Rakshak Chowk, has led to daily traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. Despite citizens’ willingness to give way, the complete gridlock left no room for ambulance movement.
Frustrated commuters expressed disappointment at the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and the Traffic Police for the lack of planning, stating that the situation is worsening each day.
