Pune: Sumeet Facilities Ltd Refutes Allegations Against Director Amit Salunke, Calls Claims Baseless
Pune, 26th July 2025: Sumeet Facilities Limited has issued a strong rebuttal against allegations circulating in the public domain regarding its Director, Amit Salunke, in connection with a purported liquor-related case. The company has categorically denied any wrongdoing and termed the accusations as “baseless and defamatory.”
In an official statement released on Saturday, the company stated, “We categorically reject and dismiss, in the strongest possible terms, the unfounded accusations concerning the alleged involvement of our Director, Mr. Amit Salunke, in a purported alcohol-related case. These baseless insinuations are nothing more than an attempt to tarnish the reputation of Sumeet Facilities Limited and its leadership.”
The company also clarified that neither Salunke, his family, nor the firm has any political affiliations. “Any insinuation of a link with political parties or figures is entirely inaccurate and deserves to be ignored,” the statement added.
Addressing the issue related to the “108 Ambulance Project”, Sumeet Facilities pointed to the April 8, 2025 decision of the Bombay High Court, which dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the state government’s tender process. The court had upheld the transparency and legality of the entire procedure, ruling that claims of cost escalation were “meritless and unsubstantiated.”
Regarding the ongoing case related to Jharkhand’s Excise Policy 2022, the company said the allegations against Salunke were “completely false” and that he had been wrongfully implicated by investigative agencies. The matter is currently under judicial review before the Courts in Ranchi.
“We have full faith in the Indian judiciary and are confident that the truth will prevail,” the spokesperson added, reaffirming the company’s commitment to integrity and lawful conduct.
Sumeet Facilities Limited has appealed to the public and media to refrain from speculation and to allow the legal process to take its course.
