Pune: Khadakwasla Dam Water Discharge Increased To 25,696 Cusecs; Safety Advisory Issued

Pune, 28th July 2025: Authorities have announced an increase in the water discharge from the Khadakwasla Dam spillway into the Mutha River. As of 1:00 pm today (28th July), the outflow has been raised from 22,121 cusecs to 25,696 cusecs.

The said decision comes in response to rising water levels and continued rainfall in the catchment areas. The Irrigation Department has cautioned that the discharge volume may be adjusted further depending on rainfall intensity and inflow conditions. Residents and establishments along the riverbanks are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.

The authorities emphasized that the situation is being closely monitored and further announcements will be made as required.
