Pune: Three Workers Trapped Under Debris at PMC Drainage Line Work Behind Nanded City, Rescue Operation On

Khadakwasla, 4th August 2025: A major incident occurred during an ongoing construction activity near Nanded City on Sinhagad Road, where three labourers were reportedly trapped under a heap of soil. The mishap took place while excavation work was underway at a site in the area on Monday evening.

According to preliminary information, a portion of the earth collapsed unexpectedly, burying the workers under the debris. Upon receiving the alert, teams from the Pune Fire Brigade, PMRDA Fire Department, and the PDRF (Pune Disaster Response Force) quickly reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.

The operation is currently ongoing, and efforts are being made to safely retrieve the trapped labourers. The identities of the workers and the exact condition of the site are yet to be officially confirmed.
