Pimpri-Chinchwad, 4th August 2025: A man claiming to be the nephew of an MLA was booked after he forcefully tried to enter a no-entry zone and created a scene with traffic police at Manik Chowk in Chakan. The incident took place when he insisted on passing through a restricted area and verbally abused police officials when stopped. The accused has been identified as Mayur Kale, (full details not known).

According to the complaint filed by Police Constable Laxman Sangade at Chakan Police Station, the accused halted his car in front of the barricades placed in the no-entry zone and began arguing with the traffic police on duty. Despite being told not to proceed, he allegedly shouted, “I am an MLA’s nephew, I will go through here,” and continued to defy the traffic rules.

The man reportedly used abusive language, disrupted public peace, and resisted the instructions of multiple police personnel present at the spot. Following the disturbance, police registered a case. Chakan Police are investigating the matter further.
