Mumbai, 16th August 2025: War 2 has stormed the global box office with a blockbuster opening, setting new benchmarks for Indian cinema. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the much-anticipated spy thriller starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani has raced past the ₹200 crore mark worldwide in only two days, with over ₹100 crore already earned in India.
Released on August 14, the film shrugged off competition from Coolie and delivered spectacular figures at the domestic box office:
Day 1 (India): ₹51.5 crore
Day 2 (India): ₹56.5 crore
Total: ₹108 crore
With this, War 2 has become one of the fastest films of 2025 to cross the ₹100 crore milestone in India.
Global Box Office Domination:
Trade analysts report a ₹73 crore opening worldwide on Day 1, of which ₹26.3 crore came from overseas markets. Strong hold on Day 2 pushed the film’s global gross beyond ₹200 crore, signaling a record-breaking run ahead.
