Waterlogging Between Nallasopara and Vasai Road; Pune-Bound Trains Diverted
Pune, 20th August 2025: Train services on the Western Railway route were disrupted due to heavy rainfall and waterlogging between Nallasopara and Vasai Road, leading to cancellations, short terminations, and diversions of multiple trains, including those bound for Pune.
According to railway authorities, several MEMU services were cancelled on August 20. These include Train No. 61002 Diva–Boisar MEMU, Train No. 61001 Boisar–Vasai Road MEMU, and Train No. 61003 Vasai Road–Diva MEMU.
Trains short terminated or short originated include Train No. 69140 Surat–Virar MEMU of August 19, which was terminated at Dahanu Road, and Train No. 19101 Virar–Bharuch MEMU of August 20, which originated from Dahanu Road. Train No. 14807 Jodhpur–Dadar Express was short terminated at Borivali, while Train No. 14808 Dadar–Jodhpur Express originated from Borivali.
For Pune-bound passengers, major express trains were diverted due to the disruption. Train No. 11089 Bhagat ki Kothi–Pune Express of August 19, Train No. 12297 Ahmedabad–Pune Duronto Express of August 19, Train No. 12940 Jaipur–Pune Superfast Express of August 19, and Train No. 22944 Indore–Daund Superfast Express of August 19 were all diverted via Surat–Udhna–Jalgaon.
Railway officials stated that restoration efforts are underway, while operational adjustments continue to minimize passenger inconvenience.
