Pune, 20th August 2025: Train No. 20495 Jodhpur-Hadapsar Superfast Express arrived at Hadapsar (HDP) at 03:49 hrs on Wednesday, August 20, with a delay of 10 hours and 39 minutes after heavy rains and waterlogging between Nallasopara and Vasai Road disrupted services on the Western Railway route.
According to official data, the train took nearly 10 hours to travel from Vapi to Vasai Road due to waterlogging in the section.
Railway officials said food and water were distributed to stranded passengers at Virar station to ensure their basic needs were met during the extended halt.
The return service, Train No. 20496 Hadapsar-Jodhpur Superfast Express, scheduled to depart Hadapsar at 19:15 hrs on August 19, was re-scheduled to leave at 06:00 hrs today (20 August 2025) from Hadapsar, a delay of 10 hours and 45 minutes. The Pune Division confirmed the rescheduling on X, attributing it to waterlogging in the Mumbai Division.
Several trains on the affected route faced cancellations, short terminations, or diversions, while railway personnel continued to monitor the flooded sections to restore normal traffic flow.
