Pune District Administration Urges Citizens to Enroll for ‘Ayushman Bharat Gold Card’ by August 31
Pune, 20th August 2025: The Pune district administration has appealed to citizens to create their Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards before August 31, 2025, under a special campaign to ensure wider access to healthcare through two flagship schemes – the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY).
Officials said the unified scheme will significantly benefit economically weaker families by strengthening healthcare delivery in the district. Beneficiaries will be entitled to free treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year in empanelled hospitals, covering more than 1,356 surgeries and specialized medical procedures.
Additionally, senior citizens above the age of 70 will receive an extra coverage of up to ₹5 lakh annually through the Ayushman Bharat Vaya Vandana Card.
Possession of the Ayushman Bharat Golden Card (AB-PMJAY Card) is mandatory for each family member to avail the benefits.
The government has simplified the process of obtaining the card. Beneficiaries can generate their cards by downloading the Ayushman App from Google Play Store or by visiting the official website https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in
Alternatively, citizens can approach ASHA workers, ‘Aaple Sarkar’ service centres, or ration shopkeepers (fair price dealers) to complete the enrollment.
The administration has urged maximum participation in the ongoing campaign so that eligible families do not miss out on free, quality healthcare.
