Pune: Junnar Holds Comprehensive Health Camp for ASHA Workers Under CM Relief Fund Initiative
Junnar, 23rd August 2025: Under the initiative of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the guidance of Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi, a district-level health camp was organized on August 18 at Mahalaxmi Lawns, Junnar, for all ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers operating in Junnar taluka. The camp was jointly organized by the District CM Relief Fund and Charitable Hospital Help Cell, Pune Collector’s Office, Decent Foundation Pune, Panchayat Samiti, and the Junnar Health Department.
A total of 365 ASHA workers underwent detailed health check-ups. The camp included diagnostic services such as breast cancer and cervical cancer screenings, blood tests for various cancer markers, eye examinations, blood pressure, sugar, ECG, orthopedic, dermatology, ENT, and dental check-ups. Specialized dental and cancer screening vans were also deployed at the venue.
In addition to medical services, participants were informed about the CM Relief Fund and Charitable Hospital schemes. The venue was equipped with banners and informational materials to spread awareness about the available healthcare programs.

Dr. Manasing Sable, Medical Officer of the District CM Relief Fund and Charitable Hospital Help Cell, coordinated the camp. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Jitendra Bidwai, Founder President of Decent Foundation; Dr. Dayanand Gaikwad, Health Coordinator; Dr. Ashwini Kulmethe, Junnar Taluka Health Officer; Dr. Amey Doke, Cancer Surgeon; Umesh Chavan, President of Patient Rights Council; and Samarth Saravase, Superintendent of Social Services.
Dr. Sable also briefed the attendees on various government health schemes. The camp received active participation and support from several medical institutions, including Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental Hospital, Integrated Cancer Treatment and Research Center (Wagholi), Dr. D.Y. Patil Ayurveda College, Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, TGH Cancer Hospital (Talegaon Dabhade), Shree Hospital (Alephata), Vighnaharta Multispeciality Hospital (Narayangaon), and Alephata Hospital.
The initiative aimed to ensure timely health screenings for frontline health workers and raise awareness about preventive healthcare, reflecting the government’s commitment to the well-being of ASHA workers and rural health infrastructure.
