Narayan Peth, 1st September 2025: Bharat Mitra Mandal, a Ganesh mandal with a legacy of over 70 years in Narayan Peth, has introduced a unique “Haunted House 525” theme for this year’s Ganeshotsav. The concept has been specially designed to engage children and families, and has quickly become a major attraction.
Entry to the haunted house has been kept at ₹10, with all proceeds being donated for the welfare of the disabled. To add to the excitement, children visiting the attraction are also given return gifts.
Mandai President Niranjan Balasaheb Dabhekar said, “This Haunted House is a unique concept. People trust us, and we are receiving an overwhelming response.”
Chairman Kaustubh Dubey added, “We have been conducting surveys for the last 3–4 years, and based on that feedback, we created this year’s theme. It is mainly designed for children, but while keeping elders in mind, we have given top priority to kids since last year.”
The initiative has not only entertained devotees but also reinforced the mandal’s commitment to social responsibility through its charitable contribution.
