Restriction on music: Dhol-tasha performances are not allowed between Tilak Statue and Belbagh Chowk, though permitted beyond Belbagh Chowk.
One troupe per mandal: Each mandal can have either one DJ or a single dhol-tasha group with no more than 60 members.
Mandatory discipline: Mandals must maintain distance, avoid breaking formation, and keep to the designated route.
Traffic flow control: No mandal will be allowed to halt at Alka Talkies Chowk until Kasba Ganpati arrives there.
Staggered entry: Processions on Tilak Road, Kumthekar Road, and Kelkar Road cannot begin before 10:30 am.
Priority at Belbagh Chowk: Mandals listed in official annexures will get preference, while others will enter on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Police Appeal for Cooperation
Police officials emphasized that coordination and discipline are essential for the historic event. “This procession is not just a religious gathering, but a tradition that represents Pune’s cultural pride. We urge every mandal and devotee to follow the timings and rules. Strict action will be taken against violations,” said Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.
Commissioner of Police added that the objective was to ensure the immersion takes place in a safe, organized, and festive spirit: “We request citizens to cooperate with the authorities so that this year’s procession remains a memorable and peaceful celebration.”
