Pune Municipal Authorities Conduct Major Action Against Unauthorized Constructions in Peth-Baner Area
Pune, 10th September 2025: In a coordinated operation, Pune’s Construction Development Department (Zone 3) and the Aundh Regional Office, with assistance from police personnel, carried out a major action against unauthorized structures along the left and right sides of the Peth-Baner main road.
The operation targeted illegal shops, hotels, temporary sheds, covered terraces, and other permanent unauthorized constructions. Approximately 19,495 square feet of unauthorized space was cleared during the action.
The operation was executed under the guidance of the Chief Engineer of Pune Municipal Corporation and the Executive Engineer of Construction Department, Zone 3, with the support of assistant engineers, junior engineers, and other staff members. A team led by the Assistant Police Inspector, assisted by one JCB, a gas cutter, and ten encroachment staff, successfully completed the enforcement action.
Officials stated that such measures are part of ongoing efforts to regulate urban development and maintain public order along city roads.
