Pune to Host India’s Largest Inclusive Technology Championship – Robotex India 2025

Pune, 13th September 2025: Pune is preparing to witness one of the country’s biggest celebrations of technology, creativity, and innovation as the Robotex India National Championship 2025 takes place on 20th and 21st September at MIT-ADT University, Loni Kalbhor.

Recognised as India’s most inclusive technology championship, Robotex India will bring together more than 7,000 students and 500 robots from across the nation. Participants include students from government schools, private institutions, and underserved communities, making the event a unique platform for equal access to STEM and robotics education. Significantly, over 50% of this year’s participants come from rural and tribal regions of Maharashtra and other states.

The two-day event will feature high-energy competitions in categories such as Line Follower, Maze Solver, Mini Sumo, Drone Aviation, Folk Race, and the eagerly awaited Entrepreneurship Challenge. With a prize pool upto ₹12 lakh, winners will not only receive medals and trophies but also the prestigious opportunity to represent India at the 2025 Robotex International Championship in Estonia, one of the world’s largest robotics festivals.

Beyond the contests, Robotex India aims to empower young innovators to tackle real-world challenges by designing robots, coding AI-driven systems, and developing prototypes for areas ranging from sustainability to space technology.

A defining feature of the championship is its inclusivity. Students from metropolitan schools will share the stage with peers from rural villages and underprivileged communities. Under the flagship initiative “Girls Who Build Robots”, thousands of young girls are being encouraged to confidently step into STEM fields.
