Pune Weather Update: IMD Predicts Light Rain Over Next Two Days
Pune, 21st September 2025: After a two-day pause in rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very light to light showers with thunder and lightning in Pune and its surrounding areas over the next two days.
According to the IMD, the city witnessed a break from rains since Friday, leading to a slight rise in day and night temperatures. On Saturday, Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 21.4 degrees Celsius.
The department has predicted that temperatures will dip slightly with the return of light showers. The sky is expected to remain generally cloudy on Sunday, with the possibility of very light to light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Light rainfall is also forecast for Monday, September 22.
Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather advisories, as localized thunder and lightning activity may occur in some parts of the district.
