Navi Mumbai/Pune, 24th September 2025: The Navi Mumbai Police have reportedly issued a look out circular (LOC) against Dilip Khedkar, his wife Manorama Khedkar, and an unidentified individual for evading arrest in a high-profile road rage kidnapping case. The couple are the parents of dismissed trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar. Officials have declared the accused absconding, nine days after the incident.

Last Friday, police arrested Dilip Khedkar’s chauffeur, Praful Salunkhe, from Shindkheda in Dhule after a six-day search. The case relates to the alleged kidnapping of Prahlad Chauhan, a helper of a cement mixer truck involved in a minor collision with Dilip Khedkar’s SUV on Mulund-Airoli Road. According to police, Dilip and Salunkhe allegedly abducted Chauhan and held him at Khedkar’s Pune bungalow, from where he was rescued by authorities the next day.

Manorama Khedkar faces separate charges for obstructing police personnel attempting to enter the Aundh bungalow. API Deepak Kharat of Rabale police station in Pune has registered a case against her. She is also accused of deliberately destroying CCTV evidence, allegedly by giving her bedroom key to an unknown person who removed the digital video recorder (DVR) containing footage. Police are actively tracing this individual.

A senior officer involved in the investigation stated, “All exit points are being monitored to ensure the accused do not leave the country. We are leaving no stone unturned in tracing them.”

The case has drawn widespread attention due to the involvement of high-profile individuals and allegations of obstruction and tampering with evidence.
