Maharashtra: Indian Army Rescues 34 Civilians, Including Pregnant Woman, in Flood-Hit Parbhani
Pune/Parbhani, 1st October 2025: A Flood Relief Column from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, supported by an Engineer Task Force, was deployed in Parbhani district on September 30 after heavy discharge of 3.06 lakh cusecs from Jayakwade Dam and forecast of moderate to heavy rainfall.
The Army teams rescued 34 civilians, including a pregnant woman, from Pathri tehsil and provided immediate medical assistance. Relief operations are being conducted in close coordination with the civil administration to ensure maximum support for affected citizens.
An administrative base has been set up at Pathri in collaboration with the District Magistrate and local authorities to streamline rescue and relief efforts. Meanwhile, another team continues to remain stationed at Georai in Beed district to extend assistance as required.
