Swargate, 14th October 2025: Residents of Dholemala Cooperative Housing Society in Gultekdi staged a protest at the Swargate Water Supply Department office on Monday, expressing anger over the irregular and inadequate water supply for the past several days.

Led by society members and directors, the residents submitted a memorandum to Executive Engineer Satish Jadhav, demanding immediate restoration of regular water supply to the area. The protest received support from the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar faction), whose office bearers were also present during the demonstration.

Residents alleged that despite repeated complaints to the Water Supply Department, no concrete action had been taken to resolve the persistent shortage. “We have been facing severe inconvenience due to erratic water supply, and our daily lives are being affected,” one of the protesting members said.

Responding to the grievances, Executive Engineer Jadhav assured the citizens that the department will conduct a physical inspection within the next two days to identify the issue and implement corrective measures.

The protesters dispersed after submitting their memorandum but warned that they would intensify their agitation if the situation did not improve soon.
