Pune: Local Citizens Praise Pimpri Chinchwad Police for Prompt Resolution of Dapodi CNG Pump Incident

Dapodi, 17th October 2025: In a prompt and commendable display of professionalism, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police quickly resolved an incident of harassment earlier today at the Dapodi CNG pump involving social activist Anish and her husband.
According to reports, a group of young men in a car allegedly mocked, used abusive language, and attempted to provoke a quarrel with the couple while they were waiting in line at the pump. When Anish began recording the incident on her phone, the accused fled the scene.
Anish immediately informed her cousin, Shonu Thankachan, who contacted Shekhar Kate, NCP City President and Dapodi Corporator. Kate deputed Prakash Goyar to coordinate with PSI Raju Bhaskar of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police.
Demonstrating remarkable efficiency, PSI Bhaskar traced the vehicle involved within just five minutes of receiving the complaint. Within a couple of hours, the police successfully located the accused and brought them to the station for inquiry.
The swift response by the police has been widely appreciated by local citizens and community members, highlighting the department’s commitment to public safety and trust.
Expressing her gratitude, Anish said,“Swift action, determined officers, and citizen support turn fear into trust. Thanks to PSI Raju Bhaskar and the Pimpri Chinchwad Police, safety and justice were restored within hours.”
