Pune: Water Supply Disrupted in Thergaon, Wakad, Pimple Nilakh, and Pimple Saudagar Due to Pipeline Leak
Pimpri Chinchwad, 26th October 2025: Residents of Thergaon, Wakad, Pimple Nilakh, Pimple Saudagar, and Rahatani are facing water supply disruption today after a major pipeline leak occurred during excavation work near Birla Hospital.
The Water Supply Department reported that a 1000 mm diameter pipeline, which supplies water to these areas, developed a leak. Repair work has begun immediately, and the department has described the operation as being carried out on a “war footing.”
As a result, water supply has been temporarily halted in the affected areas. Authorities have stated that they aim to restore normal water supply by Monday morning.
The Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department has appealed to citizens to use the available water judiciously and cooperate during the disruption.
