Pune, 26th October 2025: The Bihar Foundation has released a list of 30 major Chhath Puja venues across Pune city and Pimpri-Chinchwad, making it easier for devotees to participate in the festival with traditional fervour.
According to the Foundation, Chhath Puja will be organised at over 30 locations this year, including Aundh, Pimpri, Bhosari, Kalewadi, Chinchwad, Karve Nagar, Wagholi, Lohgaon, Mundhwa, Baner, and Bhugaon. Prominent ghats such as Pawneshwar Ghat (Pimpri), Jhulalel Ghat (Pimpri), and Ganesh Talav (Pradhikaran) will host large gatherings of devotees for evening arghya and morning rituals.

Local coordinators and volunteers have been appointed at each location to manage the arrangements.
In addition to Pune city, major residential areas like Ravet, Talegaon, Undri, and Wagholi are also preparing for community celebrations. The Bihar Foundation has shared contact details of organisers at each venue to help devotees locate the nearest Puja site and participate in the rituals.
Chhath Puja, one of the most significant festivals of Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh, honours the Sun God (Surya Dev) and Chhathi Maiya. The festival involves rigorous fasting, holy bathing, and offering prayers during sunrise and sunset.
