Pune, 5th November 2025: In an innovative step toward improving communication and problem-solving, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has launched a new initiative aimed at addressing the grievances of both passengers and employees through direct interaction.

Starting this month, every Friday, PMPML’s department heads and senior officials will meet passengers and staff members face-to-face to listen to their concerns and ensure prompt redressal. The initiative, conceptualized by the PMPML Chairman, is designed to make the transport utility more citizen- and employee-friendly.

First ‘Direct Dialogue’ Session Draws Positive Response
The first session of this weekly program was held last Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at PMPML’s head office conference hall.
The event saw active participation from several key officials, including Chief Executive Officer Asha Raut, Chief Transport Officer Satish Gawhane, Chief Engineer Dattatraya Tulpule, and Public Relations Officer Kishor Chauhan, along with heads of various departments.

During the session, retired PMPML employees interacted directly with the officials, presenting long-pending issues and personal grievances. The officials assured that all legitimate concerns would be resolved at the earliest possible.

According to PMPML officials, the weekly “Direct Dialogue” program aims to create a transparent communication channel between the administration, passengers, and employees.
By dedicating time each week to direct interaction, the initiative seeks to enhance trust, accountability, and efficiency in service delivery.

The move is expected to significantly improve coordination within the organization and strengthen the relationship between PMPML and its commuters — ensuring that their feedback and difficulties are addressed in a structured and time-bound manner.
