Bangladeshi National Caught with Multiple Indian IDs at Bengdubi Military Station

Siliguri, 7th November 2025: In a major security alert, Army personnel at the Bengdubi Military Station apprehended a Bangladeshi national found in possession of multiple Indian identification documents, including an Aadhaar card, PAN card, and voter ID.
According to Army sources, the arrest took place during a re-verification drive of all civilian staff and labourers employed at the military installation — part of a renewed effort to enhance station security.
“On November 5, as part of the ongoing security audit, documents of all civilian workers were checked thoroughly. One of the labourers was found suspicious, and upon closer scrutiny, he was discovered carrying a Bangladeshi national identity card along with Indian Aadhaar, PAN, and voter identification cards,” said a Defence spokesperson.
The individual was immediately detained and later handed over to the local police for further investigation into how he obtained the Indian documents and gained employment inside a military zone.
Army officials said the operation reflects the heightened vigilance of military intelligence units and troops in identifying potential security threats at sensitive locations.
“This case underscores a growing concern that several Bangladeshi nationals may be using forged or fraudulently acquired Indian documents to seek employment within the country,” the Defence spokesperson added.
The Army confirmed that similar verification and background checks will continue periodically across all military establishments in the region to prevent such incidents in the future.
