‘Pune Cue Sports Premier League’ Inter Club Snooker Tournament !!

Pune, 10th November 2025: PYC Hindu Gymkhana Warriors, Deccan Gymkhana Monsters, Poona Club Kings and Poona Club Magicians teams scored victory over their opponents and start campaign on winning note in the ‘Pune Cue Sports Premier League’ Inter Club Snooker Tournament organized by Royal Connaught Boat Club (RCBC).

The Group matches of the tournament were held at the Royal Connaught Boat Club (RCBC), Poona Club, PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Deccan Gymkhana Club Snooker Hall on a ‘home’ and ‘away’ basis. PYC Warriors defeated Poona Club Cue Mafia 3-1. In the singles, Nimish Kulkarni defeated Krish Ragani 113-110. In the doubles match, Poona Club’s Ashraf Parwani and Aniket Sanghvi defeated PYC Gymkhana’s Aditya Deshpande and Nishad Chougule 70-60 to level the match at 1-1. After that, PYC’s Rajvardhan Joshi defeated Sunil Ashar 53-37 and Anand Apte defeated Poona Club’s Sanjay Diddi 111-97 to give PYC a 3-1 victory.

In the second match of this group, Deccan Gymkhana Monsters easily defeated RCBC Rockets 3-0. The performance of Sunil Algude, Rajendra Adhav, Yash Deshpande and Sachin Biche was important in this victory. In the Group B match, Poona Club Kings started the tournament on a high note by defeating RCBC Domin8ors 3-1. Prashant R. and Sanath Parmar defeated their opponents for Poona Club Kings.

In a close match, Poona Club Magicians defeated PYC Giants 3-2. Poona Club’s Vignesh Sanghvi defeated Rohit Nargolkar 66-34 in singles. Yogesh Lohia defeated Poona Club’s Suraj Rathi 59-55 to level the match at 1-1. Poona Club’s Kapil Punjabi and Dinesh Mahatani defeated Ashok Shetty and Vishal Malhotra 77-42 in doubles. PYC’s Yogesh defeated Vignesh Sanghvi 49-12 to level the match at 2-2. In the final singles match, Suraj Rathi defeated Rohit Nargolkar 113-43 to win the match.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Royal Connaught Boat Club (RCBC) Sports President Mr. Parvez Saudagar, RCBC Honorary Secretary Mr. Jitesh Patodia and Entertainment Department President Pooja Shetty. Mr. Rishi Ramaiya of the organizing committee introduced the program.
