Pune Metro Fines Couple for Unauthorised Pre-Wedding Shoot
Pune, 13th November 2025: The Pune Metro, which has quickly emerged as both a preferred mode of transport and a visual attraction for commuters, recently witnessed an unusual incident that turned into a cautionary example.
A young couple’s pre-wedding photoshoot inside the underground section near Mandai station ended with them being fined for violating metro regulations.
According to officials, the couple and their photographer conducted an elaborate shoot across multiple stations and even inside a running metro train — all without obtaining prior permission. Despite repeated warnings from metro staff to stop filming, they allegedly continued, prompting the Pune Metro administration to impose a penalty.
“The metro premises are a high-security zone meant for public transportation. Any kind of commercial or private shoot requires prior permission to ensure safety and order,” said an official.
The administration has urged the public to refrain from conducting unauthorised photoshoots or filming inside metro stations and trains, warning that strict action will be taken against violators.
