Pune: 104 players for 2nd Edition of ‘PYC Table Tennis League 2025

Pune, 12th November 2025: Siddharth Deshmukh(3600pts,Ace Caps Warriors), Mihir Thombre(3250pts, iSynergy Scorchers), Rahul Pathak(3250pts,n+1 Aspirants), Ashish Bodas(3000pts, BS Finishers) emerged the most expensive players amongst 104 players in various age groups who will represent six teams at the Second edition of ‘PYC’ Table Tennis league tournament to be organized by PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played at PYC Community Hall from 14th to 16th November 2025.

Mr. Kumar Tamhane, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Mr. Sarang Lagu, Joint Secretary of the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Mr.Tanmay Agashe, Secretary of Table Tennis Dept. of PYC informed that, We have received an overwhelming response participation for second edition of PTTL. The event attracted 108 participants in various age categories.

“We are thrilled to organize table tennis league events for the second time in a row and happy to provide a platform for players to show their skills ” added Mr. Sarang Lagu.

There will be one group of 6 teams and the event will be played in all play all round robin format. The winning team will receive a Trophy, informed Mr. Tanmay Agashe, Table Tennis secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana. Mr. Nandan Dongre, will be the Tournament Director of PTTL.

The highlights of this year’s event is Maximum members participation and a format where everyone gets to play. We have ensured more women and children participation this year. There will be Gold Open Doubles, Open Rotational Singles, Open Doubles, Open Rotational Singles and Open Doubles match in a Tie.

The participants who are all club members were selected in 6 teams through an auction process. The teams, also owned by PYC members, are as follows. Ace Caps Warriors, Belfins Tigers, BS Finishers, iSynergy Scorchers, n+1 Aspirants, Wadeshwar Wizards.

A special Tournament Committee comprising Chairman Tanmay Agashe, Sarang Lagu, Abhishek Tamhane, Nandan Dongre, Atul Thombre, Kaustbh Valimbe and Deepesh Abhaynkar has been formed to ensure smooth conduct of the event, Mr. Tamhane added.
