Pune, 25th November 2025: The Maharashtra State Examination Council has announced a change in the schedule for the Primary (Class 5) and Secondary (Class 8) Scholarship Examinations. The tests will now be conducted on 22 February 2026, instead of the earlier scheduled date. The exams will be held on the same day across all districts in the state.

The rescheduling was done because a large number of primary and secondary school teachers from Maharashtra have registered for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), which is slated to be held on 8 February 2026. To avoid overlapping commitments and ensure the smooth conduct of both examinations, the state has revised the scholarship exam date.

The Maharashtra State Examination Council has advised all students, parents, and school authorities to take note of the updated schedule.
