Pune, 10th December 2025: The Mundhwa land scam investigation has taken a fresh turn with accused Sheetal Tejwani, who is currently under arrest, filing a civil compensation claim against Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. Tejwani has alleged that Kapoor violated the terms of a lease agreement for his apartment in Pune and has sought ₹50.40 lakh in compensation.

According to her complaint filed in the Pune Civil Court, Tejwani claims she was evicted from Kapoor’s flat in Trump Towers in Kalyani Nagar before the expiry of the lock-in period mentioned in the agreement. She has demanded compensation along with interest for the alleged breach.

Tejwani is a key accused in the high-value 40-acre Mundhwa land scam and was arrested by Pune Police earlier this month. She had been questioned twice prior to her arrest, but investigators later concluded that she played a direct role in the disputed land transaction.

The 40-acre plot at the centre of the case was originally classified as Mahar Watan land before being transferred to the state government and later allocated for a proposed central government Botanical Garden. Despite its estimated market value of around ₹1,800 crore, the land was allegedly sold to Amadea Enterprises LLP, a firm linked to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar, for just ₹300 crore.

Officials have also stated that stamp duty of ₹21 crore was waived in the transaction, with only ₹500 paid. Investigators allege that Tejwani obtained a power of attorney from the descendants of the original landholders and facilitated the sale to Amadea Enterprises LLP.
