Pune, 20th December 2025: Dr Deepti Bhargava, Assistant Professor at Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College, Pune, has been honoured with the Global Teacher 2025 Award at the AKS Global Education Fest held in New Delhi. The event, organised on November 29, 2025, brought together educators and academicians from more than five countries.

The international conclave saw the participation of distinguished educationists, researchers and language experts from across the globe. Aimed at strengthening school and higher education from the national to the global level, the Global Excellence Teacher Awards by AKS recognise and celebrate the contributions of educators worldwide.

Dr Bhargava, originally from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, received the award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to education, her innovative and student-centric teaching methods, and her consistent efforts to nurture and inspire young minds.

A scholar in literature and post-colonial studies, Dr Bhargava completed her PhD on ‘A Study of Socio-Cultural Turmoil in the Travelogues of V S Naipaul’. She has also served as a Research Fellow for a UGC-supported major research project titled ‘The Booker Winners of Indian Origins: Relentless Delineators of the Essence of Real India’, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Her research interests include Ancient Indian Literature, Travelogues, Post-colonial Studies, Literary Criticism and English Language Teaching (ELT). She has presented and published research papers on several national and international academic platforms and is also the author of the book The Art of Research: A Comprehensive Guide to Methodology.

Dr Bhargava’s achievement has been widely appreciated, with education and research circles in Pune extending their congratulations and lauding her dedication and contribution to the fields of literature and education.
