Pune Artist with Down Syndrome Wins National Award, Redefines Inclusion Through Art

Pune, 25th December 2025: Pune-based young artist Dhriti has been honoured with a National Award for her achievements in art and her contribution to promoting inclusion through creative expression. Born with Down syndrome, Dhriti’s journey challenges long-held perceptions about disability and highlights how talent can flourish when nurtured with belief and opportunity.

Dhriti is one of the founding artists of Tickle Your Art, a Pune-founded inclusive art platform that works with artists with intellectual disabilities.
