Lohgaon/Viman Nagar, 4th January 2026: As campaigning for the Pune Municipal Corporation general elections gathers pace, candidates from ward number 3 (Viman Nagar–Lohgaon) have begun direct outreach to residents across several housing societies to understand local issues and development priorities.

During these visits, residents shared concerns related to water supply, road conditions, cleanliness, traffic management, healthcare, education, safety and other basic civic amenities. The interactions were aimed at gathering feedback from citizens and assessing expectations ahead of the polls scheduled for January 15.

The BJP–RPI Mahayuti’s official candidates from the ward said their focus would be on planned and time-bound development across all sectors. They emphasised the need for systematic implementation of civic works and improved delivery of essential services to ensure balanced growth in the area.

According to the candidates, direct communication with residents, transparency in functioning and on-ground execution of development works form the core of their campaign approach. They said efforts would be made to make ward number 3 more organised, secure and development-oriented by addressing long-pending civic issues.

The BJP–RPI Mahayuti has fielded four candidates in ward number 3: Dr Shreyas Pritam Khandve (Group A), Anil Dilip Satav (Group B), Aishwarya Surendra Pathare (Group C) and Ramdas Dattatray Dabhade (Group D).

Polling for the Pune Municipal Corporation elections is scheduled to be held on January 15, with political activity intensifying across wards as parties step up neighbourhood-level outreach and voter engagement.
