Pune to Host ‘Agaaz-e-Baatcheet’ Youth Peacebuilding and Dialogue Workshop
Pune, 08th January 2026: A two-month youth leadership initiative, “Agaaz-e-Baatcheet,” is scheduled to take place in the Camp area of Pune from January 1 to February 20, 2026. The program, a collaborative effort between the Pune-based Welfare Association of Youth (WAY) and the Hyderabad-based non-profit Rubaroo, aims to train young individuals in interfaith dialogue and conflict management.
The experiential learning journey is specifically designed for participants aged 18 to 25. The curriculum focuses on building community through dialogue, empathy, and social inclusion. According to the organisers, the program seeks to enable a new generation of youth leaders to understand social development and navigate diverse worldviews through respectful communication.
The core of the initiative features a four-day foundational workshop running from January 11 to January 14, 2026. Daily sessions are scheduled from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Following the workshop, participants will be required to execute a social action campaign to apply their learned skills in real-world settings.
The program will be facilitated by Mohammad Saif, Founder and CEO of Welfare Association of Youth, and Janet Orlene, a National Geographic Certified Trainer and Learning Experience Designer. Both mentors have been trained by Hyderabad-based Rubaroo, an organisation with a decade of experience in experiential learning and youth development.
The workshop curriculum includes modules on “Emotionology,” the study of navigating personal and collective emotions as well as practical tools for active listening, teamwork, and peacebuilding. Organisers have stated that the program is open to young people from any background, faith, or identity.
Applications for the “Agaaz-e-Baatcheet” program are being accepted until January 9, 2026. Interested candidates can apply via the official digital application form.
